Deer Stones in Bayanzurkh in Khovd

Bayanzurkh Deer Stones are located in Must soum of Khovd province, 50km to the west of Must town. There are over 30 deer stones of different sizes and burial sites. The depictions of deer on the stone are higher quality than other deer stones in Mongolia and they are more stylized too. This site is considered to be the biggest deer stone complex in Mongolia and the stones do not just show deer but they depict wolves and leopards and everyday life of our ancestors. Also, there are pictographs on the stones yet to be deciphered by scientists.
