Deer Stones at Daagan Del Zavkhan

Daagan Del deer stones are located in Shuluustei soum of Zavkhan province, on the mountainside of Daagan Del Mountain. There are total of eight deer stones in this area and two of them fell and covered in grass and moss. Stones are 1.6m to 2.8m tall and all are made of granite with pinkish tint. Same with other deer stones around Mongolia, Daagan Del deer stones depict deers, knife, whetstone, war axe, shield and other weapons and tools. Also, 5km away from Daagan Del Mountain, on the way to Otgon soum, eight other deer stones can be found. They are smaller than ones at Daagan Del Mountain with an average height of 1m but made with same granites.
