Saikhan Soum in Bulgan Province

Saikhan is one of 16 soums of Bulgan province. Located 431km to the northwest of Ulaanbaatar city, Saikhan soum is famous for their high quality Airag, the traditional Mongolian drink made from horse milk. It is a highly sought after beverage and almost a brand product of Saikhan soum, especially during autumn. Besides their tasty drink, Saikhan soum is a hometown of a couple of Mongolian traditional wrestling champions, Namkhai avarga and Luvsanjamba avarga, and a lot of other accomplished wrestlers.
